| Australian singer, songwriter and producer, Cassie Davis, is set to release a fifth single from her debut album DIFFERENTLY, with 'Don't Wanna Dance' being serviced to radio and TV today, Monday, March 8th. 'Don't Wanna Dance' will be released digitally on April 9th, 2010. Cassie is also set to hit the road with Kelly Clarkson next month, supporting the original American Idol winner on her national tour.
'Don't Wanna Dance' is the fifth single from DIFFERENTLY and follows the Gold selling singles 'Like It Loud' and 'Differently'.
Since Cassie first emerged on the Australian music scene, the country has embraced her hard-hitting rock-pop tunes and her infectious new talents. To date, 'Like It Loud' has surpassed gold status and garnered over 700,000 hits on video-sharing website YouTube. 'Differently' has similarly made a strong impact. The song, which featured international artist Travis McCoy, was the most added track to radio in its first week of release. Cassie recently performed the track at the round two of the State of Origin in front of a crowd of 80,000 people and appeared on top rating television show 'Talkin' Bout Your Generation'.
In the past few months Cassie has continued to work on outside writing and production projects including her continued collaboration with Wayne Wilkins (Beyonce, Kylie, Natasha Bedingfield, Pink), and has also been in the studio working with The Potbelleez, Paul Mac and Ministry of Sound's new project The Cutlass Supreme.
